Decontamination - Thetford Mines, Québec

This project was designed to support the concrete foundation of a house so that the ground could be decontaminated. The idea was developed in collaboration with Pepin Poirier Consultants. This solution's special feature consists of placing piles on one side of the foundation wall so that one serves as compression and the other as traction. This concept makes it possible to excavate on only one side of the foundation wall thereby avoiding excavation on the outside of the house. In order to prevent possible carbon monoxide poisoning in an enclosed space, we used an R2D machine with electric motor. Piles were installed in approximately 2 days by Techno Pieux Thetford.
